摘　　要： 汉语语法学界素来关注被动式,近代汉语"吃"字被动句亦不例外。诸多学者以"吃"字被标的用字、来源、句式结构的考察上作为着力点,对"吃"字被动句进行全方位探讨。文章从"吃"、"喫"、"乞"三字的关系、"吃"字句表被动的来源、"吃"字被动句与"被"字句的比较三个方面对"吃"字被动句再探讨,考察其用字、来源和发展过程中与"被"字句的差异。"遭受"义动词是汉语被动关系词的来源之一,也反映了汉藏语系内部语言被动关系词的发展线索。 Grammarians have always paid attention to passive constructions, esp. the one with 吃 （ehi） in modern Chinese, and many scholars have further discussed such a construction by focusing on the diction, origin and the sentence structure of 吃 （chi）. In this paper, the passive construction with ICE （ chi ） is fully explored in the diction relationship among 吃（ chi）, 喫 （chi） and 乞 （ qi）, the origin of the passive structure with 吃 （ chi ）, and its comparison with the passive construction of 被 （bei）. As one of the sources of the Chinese passive marker,verbs denoting 遭受 （suffering） also embody the clue to the development of passive relative words in internal lan- guages of the Sino-Tibetan language family.
