This paper uses a panel data set of 29 provinces over the period 1997 ~ 2007 to analyze the relation- ship between international trade, minimum wage and labor income share to understand the decline of the current labor income share and a series of coupling phenomenon which appears unrelated and contradictory. We find that the distortion of minimum wage under the background of international trade makes the reatlocation between cap- ital and Labor departments, resulting in China~ capital intensive sector deepening and the labor intensive sector shrinking, which make the overall labor income share continually decline in china. Even potential important factors are controlled.
