摘 要: 本文结合近年有关多模态的研究探讨了感觉词汇的习得问题,旨在从经验主义的角度为词汇学习的研究提供一个新的视角。研究发现:(1)感觉词汇的习得包括现象意义的习得,而且(2)现象意义在某种程度上具有多模态性的特征。由此认为,现象意义的多模态习得是词汇深度知识的有机组成部分,有助于学习者更加确切地理解和使用感觉词汇。 In combination with the recent studies about multimo- dality,the present paper aims to provide a new empirical perspective for acquisition of experiential words. Analysis reveals ( 1 ) that acquisition of experiential words involves acquisition of their phenomenal meaning, and (2) that phenomenal meaning is to some extent multimodal. It is concluded that the multimodal acquisition of phenomenal meaning is part and parcel of the depth of word knowledge, which enables learners to understand and use experiential words more accurately.
