语料库视角下的语言教学观

摘  要: 从语料库研究给语言哲学观带来的变化出发,着重探讨语料库视角下的语言教学观,主要观点包括:语言教学应该把日常英语中高频词的典型意义和典型短语范式教给学习者;短语教学必须与"识别——构建——探究"等认知过程联系起来,语料驱动教学法有利于实现该认知过程;语言学习是基于图式的重构过程,要求学习者主动探究和归纳语言意义和语言使用范式之间的关系,因此,学习者在掌握听、说、读、写等基本技能的基础上,还应掌握新的语言技能,如将话语切分为有意义成分的能力,区分向心式结构与离心式结构的能力,用语言来认识、讨论和重组语言的能力,以及释义的技能。指出语料库指引的语言教学在教学资源、教学方法以及教师和学习者需求等方面亟待解决的问题。 Based on the changes in the views of language that have been brought about by corpus studies, this paper looks into the corpus linguistic views on language teaching and learning which can be summarized as follows: (1)The main focus of teaching and learning should be on the commonest word forms, their central patterns of usage and their typical combinations. (2)Phraseology teaching should be related to the learning process of "recognition--system building---exploration", which can be facilitated by data-driven learning. (3)Language learning is schema-based restructuring which involves exploring and discovering the association between pattern and meaning. This requires a new set of language skills of the learner, including the ability to segment an incoming utterance into components of potentially meaningful structures, the ability to differentiate between endocentric and exocentric structures, the ability to recognize and to use language about language and to build up a text by encapsulating previous sentences in a new one, and the skill of paraphrase. Further, problems are pointed out concerning teaching resources, teaching methodology, teacher needs and learner needs in corpus-informed language teaching and learning.
