摘　　要： 本文基于市场化视角,利用省际面板数据对外商直接投资、环境污染、当地市场化水平三者之间的关系进行了检验。结果表明:外商直接投资恶化了我国的生态环境,但是外商直接投资对环境的影响依赖于各地的市场化水平,市场化水平较高的地区,外商直接投资能够改善区域的环境质量,而在市场化发展滞后的地区,外商直接投资却恶化了当地生态环境。换言之,随着市场化的深入推进,外商直接投资将会逐渐改善流入地的环境。 From the marketization perspective,this paper avails provincial panel data to examine relationships between foreign direct investment,marketization and environmental pollution in China.The results show that while generally foreign direct investment worsened China’ s ecological environment,the nature of the impact is dependent on marketization levels in different regions;foreign direct investment may help improve the environment in highly marketized regions,while in regions where marketization level is low,it contributes to the deterioration of local ecological environment.In other words,as marketization in China deepens,foreign direct investment tends progressively to befriend the environment.
