摘　　要： 语境的研究由来已久,许多学者都从不同角度对其进行了研究。作为系统功能语法代表人物的韩礼德也非常重视语境的作用。他认为情景语境的三个变量:语场、语式、语旨一起决定了特定情境的特征,即:语域,该理论现在也被应用到了体裁分析中。作者在回顾马林诺夫斯基和福斯的语境理论之后,介绍了韩礼德的语境和语域理论。最后作者分析了语域理论在体裁分析上的应用及其局限性。 The study of context has been going on for a long time.Scholars have studied this topic from different perspectives.Halliday,as the representative of Systematic-Functional Grammar（SFG）,also assigns great importance to the role of context.Register Theory is one of the most influential theories in Hallidayan SFG,which is a theory about context.Field,tenor and mode,as three variables of situational context,together determines the characteristics of a certain situation.This theory has also been used in the genre analysis.The author,after reviewing theories of context proposed by Malinowski and Firth,introduces Halliday＇s viewpoint on context and his register theory.At last the author analyses the application and limitations of register theory to genre analysis.
