摘　　要： 《园冶》的现代翻译已经相当困难,译成外文更不容易。仅就书名的意义而言,直至今日才有金学智先生作了透彻的阐述。以此为基础,试将"园冶"翻译为Garden Forging,以求引起学界注意,开展争鸣,最后找到共识,以有利于《园冶》在世界的传播。 The modem translation of the book Yuan Ye has been difficult, and translating the book into a foreign language is even more difficult. As fhr as the meaning of the title only, until now Mr Jin Xuezhi made a thorough Chinese description. On this basis, the title of Yuan Ye is suggested to be translated as Garden Forging, so as to attract the academic circle＇s attention and debate and finally reach a consensus in favour of the book＇s spread in the world.
