摘　　要： 随着《国家中长期教育改革和发展规划纲要(2010—2020年)》的颁布,以及教育部相应的高等学校本科教学质量与教学改革工程的实施,国家对高等教育及教学质量提出了更高要求。大学英语课程作为一门本科必修课程也自然面临着急需更新教育理念、提高教学质量,以能培养出国际化人才,满足国家发展的需求。本文着重论述了《大学英语课程教学要求》亟待按照国家新的要求进行修订,以满足国家发展对该课程新的要求;在教学目标的定位、国际标准的参照、课程设置的科学合理、教学模式的主次、教学评估的统一与多样、教师队伍的建构与培训等6个主要方面提出了具体的修订建议。 With the promulgation of National Outline for Medium and Long-term Education Reform and Development and the implementation of Ministry of Education＇s Undergraduates Teaching Quality and Reform Project, the nation issues more rigorous requirements for the higher education and its quality. As one of the compulsory courses, College English also faces the urgent need of updating its educational ideas and improve its quality so as to cultivate the talented for the nation＇s development. This paper offers some in- depth thinking of the author and proposes some suggestions for the revision of The College English Curriculum Requirements. It mainly discusses such issues as the revision of the objectives, references from intemational documents of high standards, rationality of the course system, teaching modes, course evaluation and teacher development. This paper concludes that there stands a good chance for a successful revision of the national document as long as it is planned carefully and conducted prudently.
