摘　　要： 同音词是语言中极其重要而又十分普遍的现象,也是语言学习的难点之一。本文从同音词的分类、形成的原因和修辞功能等三方面对英汉同音异义词进行了对比分析,旨在进一步揭示英汉同音异义词的异同,以帮助读者进一步了解和掌握英汉同音异义词,在英汉语言的应用中发挥出其积极的作用。 Homonym is a very important and common linguistic phenomenon, which is also one of the difficulties in learning languages. This paper conducts a contrastive analysis of the classification, causes of formation and rhetorical functions of both English and Chinese homonyms for the purpose of further revealing their similarities and differences, helping readers better un- derstand and master them and making them play a big and active role in the use of English and Chinese languages.
