摘　　要： 从关注"形而上"到关注"形而下",是人类社会教育现代转型的重要特征。《西方近代职业教育史稿》从教育思想与教育制度两个维度揭示了西方职业教育现代转型的过程。这种作为过程的、整体性的转型,对我国职业教育当下的改革与发展具有十分重要的借鉴意义。 The change of concern from the ＂metaphysical＂ to ＂physical＂ is an important feature of the modern transformation of the education of the human society. The book ＂A Sketch History of Modern Western Vocational Education ＂ reveals the the modern transformation process of the Western Vocational Education in two dimensions of educational thought and the education system. Such process has a very important reference to the current reform and development of vocational education in China.
