Feimeng narrates a story about a fire breaking out in the middle night in a remote village in the beginning of Bridge, and this story is selfexistent and has something new in the novel. But the academe have paid little attention to this story, and nearly nobody analyzed this story. This thesis analys the delicate relations among the violent fire, the attitude looking on somebody's trouble with indifference and the doll which is cannot be discarded, and furthermore it probes into Fenming's fiction notions, among which are the technique of weaving the dreams into the reality and the playing narration, and their embodiment in his works.
