摘　　要： 在评价理论之下介入意义的众多次类中,宣称是一个相对特殊的范畴。典型地说,宣称对于组织局部和整体故事事件,具有不可忽视的作用:它们集中在具体语言成分上(不限于此),但也具有故事话语组织的整体特点。从前景化角度出发、分析《廊桥遗梦》这一叙事文本中的宣称成分来明确阐述这一点,揭示了故事组织的一个全新侧面。这一方法对于分析经典小说适用,对现代、后现代小说也应当可行。 Of the 8 sub-categories under Engagement in Appraisal Theory,Acknowledgement is a special one.Typically,it has an indispensible role in organizing local and holistic events of story.That is,they are usually represented by practical language elements（verbal entities in particular,but not only that）;they have their due part in story constitution.The present paper starts from the foregrounding perspective,carries out a detailed analysis of the acknowledgement elements in the narrative text The Bridges of Madison County,and reveals an entire new aspect of story organization,an approach that may be applicable to both classical literary texts and modern and post-modern fictions.
