摘　　要： 晚清农垦公司是中国近代农业中新兴的组织形式 ,它在生产经营方面较之于自给自足的传统农业有了一些明显变化 ,是对传统农业结构的一次突破和超越。文章就晚清农垦公司的生产经营状况作了初步的探讨 ,以揭示在中国近代社会转型期农业领域中所体现的过渡性特征。 The company being engaged in farming and stockbreeding or reclaiming and cultivating wasteland ,which appeared in the late Qing Dynasty ,is a new and developing organization of agriculture in modern China Its production and management has some distinct changes comparing with self contained and self sufficent traditional agriculture , this is a breakthrough and overstep on traditional agriculture The paper has probed tentatively the production and management of this kind of company in order to reveal characteristic of transition in the region of agriculture in the period of social transform in modern China
