摘 要: 说到“心学”,人们马上会联想到“陆王心学”,其实,“陆王心学”的说法是很晚才有的。在宋代,“心学”最常见、最典型的是指与“十六字心传”相关的传心之学。本文拟先考察“心学”的原初意义,然后再看其在后代的演变。 Xin-xue(The School of Mind)originates from the explanation of 'Sixteen Words on Transmission of Minds'.The process of the formation of Xin-xue is also the process of Song Confucians' talking about Dao-tong(Confucian Orthodoxy).Lu Jiu-yuan does not classify his learning as Xin-xue,and other Confucians in Song does not.It is not suitable to classify the learning of Bai-sha and Gan-quan as Xin-xue.The duality of Li-xue(the School of Li)and Xin-xue begins at the late Ming,and the duality of Cheng-Chu's School of Li and Lu-Wang's School of Mind probably begins at the 1930s.Some in the late Ming refer Xin-xue only to Yang-ming School,but some from Song to Qing refer it to Zhu-xi School.The duality of Cheng-Chu's School of Li and Lu-Wang's School of Mind is somewhat reasonable in history and theory,but it also has the defect of over-simplication.
