摘　　要： 本文通过对莎士比亚的悲剧和中国古代著名悲剧进行简单的比较,分析"力"在这两种悲剧中的表现和作用,从这一侧面发现前者之所以被广泛认可及推崇,而后者之所以被人质疑的一个重要原因:莎士比亚的悲剧里面的力元素很彻底,而中国古代著名悲剧的力却往往由于文化上对"大团圆"偏好而最后软弱下来。 The present thesis tries to compare Shakespearean tragedies with ancient Chinese tragedies from the viewpoint of power,analyzing the different performances of power in these two kinds of tragedies.Thus,it intends to offer a possible explanation for why the former is highly rated while the latter is unqualified to be tragedies in many scholars＇ eyes： the power in Shakespearean tragedy is complete while the power in ancient Chinese tragedies is always slack in the end under the influence of ＂happy ending＂.
