摘 要: 本文分析阿特伍德如何改写荷马史诗《奥德赛》。为了突出话语权的重要性,阿特伍德采用了双线叙述的叙事方法。《珀涅罗珀记》由珀涅罗珀的独语与众女仆的合声(合唱歌词)构成。作者采用回击的手法,要么将奥德修斯的伟大行为与珀涅罗珀的评判并置,在互文中加以嘲讽;要么让珀涅罗珀坦承,自己成为道德楷模是操演伪装的结果,其目的只是为了更好地生存。阿特伍德的目的并非单纯地改写男性权威文本,以女性叙事进行简单替换。作者更为关注的是,如何呈现话语权的重要性。为此,小说插入另一个群体声音——众女仆的合唱歌词。合唱歌词与珀涅罗珀的独语及荷马史诗不但形成互文,更形成对话,成功地表达了掌握话语权意味着掌握权力的观点。 This essay focuses on Margaret Atwood's rewriting of Odusseia. Atwood adopts the method of double narration to emphasize the importance of the power in discourse. In The Penelopiad: The Myth of Penelope and Odysseus, the content is divided into two parts: Penelope's monologue and the chorus of the maids. It is the countering tactic that either juxtaposes the deeds of Odysseus and the judge of the Penelope or lets Penelope confess that her being the paragon of wifely virtue is due to gender performativity. Atwood means not only to rewrite the male authority text, substituting it with female narration, but also to show the importance of discursive power. So the chorus of the maids and the Penelope's monologue and Homer's epic constitute the form of the intertextuality and discourse, expressing successfully the point that controlling the power in discourse means to grip the power.
