摘　　要： 人们通常认为孟子所讲的"不忍"是"性",但实际上"不忍"是"情",是自我对于他人的一种情感。正是因为每个人生来都有不忍之情,所以每个人都能行道德之事,做仁爱之人。但由于受到"利"的影响,人们的情感开始变得麻木,开始残忍地对待他人,而这正是现代社会道德没落的一个重要原因。 People often think that compassion in Mencius is nature. In fact, it is an emotion from oneself to others. Because everyone is born with the emotion of compassion, everyone can do a thing with morality and be a person with kindheartedness. Due to affecting by profit, our feeling become callous and we become cruel to others. This is the reason why social morality declines in modem society.
