摘 要: 衔接是语篇特征的重要内容。通过对比分析中外作者所著语篇的衔接特点,指出以英语为母语的作者在撰写英语语篇时所使用的衔接手段更加丰富多样,而中国学者的衔接手段较为单一。其中,词汇衔接的不足之处最为明显,主要体现在完全重复的过多使用。因此,培养学生的衔接意识,并且改善提高词汇教学方法,是提高中国学者写作衔接质量的重要手段。 Cohesion is an important ingredient of forming texture. A comparative study of cohesion on two pieces of texts, respectively written by Chinese EFL writers and native writers, reveal that there is more variety in cohesive ties used by the native speakers. In particular, it' s competenee in lexical cohesion that Chinese EFL writers are most severely lagging behind, as exact repetition is identified as the most frequently occurring type of cohesive devices in their writing. Hence, to cultivate students' awareness in cohesion and enhance vocabulary teaching is an essential step towards improving cohesion in the writing of Chinese EFL writers.
