To meet the demand of CFB boilers on gas solid separators, a two stage separation method that a finned tubes impact separator is connected serially with a uniflow cyclone. has been put forward on the basis of several separators developed. The finned tubes impact separator is used as the first stage separator under high temperature, and the uniflow cyclone is the second stage separator under medium or low temperature. Systematic experimental results indicated that the high separation efficiency and low pressure drop can be obtained and meet completely the demand of CFB boilers with high circulation rate.
