摘　　要： 课程是教育得以发生效用的重要媒介之一 ,大学课程设置可以反映大学所在国家的状况。本文通过对国外私立大学课程设置的历史回顾和现状分析 ,说明私立高校为了自身的生存与发展 。 Courses are one of the important media through which education can be taken into effect, and the arrangement of the courses at universities and colleges often reflects the general situation of a country where the university or the college belongs. This article recalls the history of course arrangement at foreign private universities and analyses their current situation, indicating that these private universities adapt themselves to the needs of market competition and arrange curricula accordingly for their existence and further development.
