摘　　要： 随着经济全球化进程加快，高等教育国际化已经成为当今世界高等教育发展的重要趋势。新时期广东民办高校发展面，临着重大的机遇与挑战，走国际化发展道路成为民办高校可持续发展的重要途径。高等教育国际化是指高等教育国际交流与合作、市场、功能、标准的国际化。民办高校对国际化缺乏系统、全面的认识，自身办学体制、管理机制等方面较为落后，阻碍其国际化发展进程。民办高校迫切需要理清国际化发展思路，主动适应国际高等教育标准，制定国际化发展战略与规划。 With the acceleration of economic globalization, internationalization of higher education is becoming an important trend of the development of global higher education at present. The development of private universities in Guangdong is facing great chance and challenge in new period. Internationalization is becoming an important way of their continuing development and covers international exchange and coopration, market, functions, and standards. Private universities are short of systematic and comprehensive awareness of it. Their backward educational system and management mechanisms are hindering the developing process. They urgently need to adapt international standards and formulate strategies and plans of internationalization.
