摘　　要： 本文利用部分迭代函数系统（PIFS）实现分形图象压缩编码的同时，充分利用分形图象编码、解码的某些特殊性质实现对图象的某些特殊处理，以满足多媒体通信中对图象传输和重现的特定要求。一是利用分形图象压缩编码的尺度独立特性实现图象的放大与缩小；二是利用分形压缩编码中某些关键参数实现多媒体通信中图象的分级传输与访问控制。 In this paper, two extra image processing functions are presented by using some special propertiesof PIFS - based fractal image coding in addition to image compression. The first one is that fractal image zoom inand out are realized by the property of scale - independent of fractal image. The second is that hierarchicaltransmission and access control of fractal image are realized in multimedia communication by controlling some keyparameters in PIFS - based image coding.
