摘　　要： 本文旨在通过对近30年来国内英语无灵主语句研究的回顾,理清相关研究的名称与定义,概述相关研究的内容与成果,探讨存在的问题与努力的方向。 This paper aims to clarify the relevant names and definitions,summarize the major research findings and outline the research prospects in connection with the language phenomenon of English sentences with inanimate subjects（ESWIS） by tracing the important studies done in the past 30 years in China.
