摘　　要： 从已有的出土文物中显示,潮汕而有佛教信息的传人,可以追溯到南朝刘宋年间,距今1500多年;潮汕而有寺院之设不能早于南朝梁代,坊问"晋代创有寺院"之说不能成立。 The excavated cultural relics indicate that it has a history of more than fifteen hundreds years since the time that Buddhism information was first spread into Chaoshan in the Liu and Song Years in the Southern Dynasty.The time that Chaoshan had temples should not be earlier than Liang Years in the Southern Dynasty.So the popular saying that Chaoshan had temples in the Jin Dynasty is not tenable.
