摘　　要： 自20世纪90年代初以来，中国公民社会研究日益成为热门领域。时至今日，尽管对于公民（市民）社会这一源于西方的术语是否适用中国还有争论，但学术界的研究文献早已汗牛充栋，公民社会一词也在大众传媒上频频出现。在讨论中国公民社会的发展前景时，制度环境多被认为是最主要的制约因素；也正因为如此， In recent years,studies on the impact of internet on civil society in China become a heated field.We review present studies and point out their weaknesses here in a critical and reflective way.First,thanks to NGOs' contribution in 2008 Wenchuan great earthquake,many scholars overestimate the development of civil society in China;second,under western centrism and technological determinism,they simply interpret the internet as a platform for social forces to challenge the state;third,as to the issue of web public sphere,thinness of theoretical resources,inadequate inquiries of group polarization,and simplistic understanding of rationality in online discussion are major drawbacks.At last,to further the research,we propose some approaches:multiply theoretical foundations,shift research perspectives,explore new research methods and select proper methodology consciously and reflectively.
