摘　　要： 从多个层面分析了流域开发是广东可持续发展战略的必然选择， 阐述了流域开发对广东省可持续发展的影响， 提出了广东实施流域开发的战略思想和途径。 Guangdong has acheived rapid economic development since reform and opening to the outside world,but the economic gap between the Pearl River Delta (PRD) and other areas of the province has also been enlarged.In order to realize the whole province′s sustainable development,the gap should be narrowed.It is considered that Guangdong′s economy essentially is river basin economy.The river basins in the province can be taken as basic units for economic development.The Xijiang,Beijiang and Dongjiang revers can serve as development axises promoting co-operation between the PRD and the hinterland of the province.To carry out the river basin strategy, some suggestions are put forward.
