摘　　要： 介绍了海姆斯(D.Hymes)提出的中性抽象标示模式的特征和优点,并分析其在跨文化交际活动和跨文化交际研究中的作用;在此基础上,结合国内跨文化交际研究现状,认为中性抽象标示模式可以保证研究的客观性和科学性,中性抽象标示模式应该成为跨文化交际实证研究中重要的研究方法和工具。 The paper has introduced the characteristics and advantages of the ＂eric grid＂ proposed by Dell Hymes and analyzed its role in communication activities and the research of cross -culture communication. Based on the above and combined with the status quo of the research of cross - culture communication, it is held that the ＂eric grid＂, which may ensure the objectivity and scientificalness of the research, should become an important research approach and tool for the empirical research of cross - culture communication.
