摘 要: 名物化在不同语类中起着不同的作用。选取Newsweek杂志上25篇药品广告语篇进行分析,发现此类语篇中的名物化能够加强医疗科学的权威性,重构反映广告旨意的经验意义,促成彰显商品非凡效果的褒义评价。名物化使药品广告陈述更具有说服力,它在广告中起着隐蔽的劝诱作用。 Nominalization plays varied roles in different genres.This study analyzed the function of nominalization in 25 drug advertisements taken from Newsweek.It is indicated that nominalization enhances the authority of medical science,reconstructs the experimental meaning of reflecting the advertiser's purposes,and helps to bring about positive evaluation of highlighting the extraordinary effects of the commodities.It is concluded that nominalization makes the advertising claims more convincing and persuasive,and thus contributes a lot to promotion of the commodities.
