摘　　要： 城市定位就是对城市未来发展方向和发展目标的拟定,是城市规划建设的重要组成部分.文章在对城市定位的涵义理解和城市发展战略思考的基础上,分析了城市定位与城市发展战略的互动机制,提出了汕头市新时期的城市定位.同时,提出并详细探讨了基于城市定位的汕头市可持续发展战略构想. City’s developing orientation is the establishment to city’s development direction and development target in the future,it’s also one of the city planning construction.In this paper,the interactive mechanism of city’s developing orientation and development strategy is analyzed based on the understanding of city’s developing orientation and the consideration of city development strategy,and the city’s developing orientation of Shantou in new era is advanced,and then the conception of Shantou sustainable development strategy based on city’s developing orientation is advanced and discussed in detail.
