摘　　要： 城域网（Ｍｅｔｒｏｐｏｌｉｔａｎａｒｅａｎｅｔｗｏｒｋ，ＭＡＮ）是随着网络技术、通信技术和其他计算机技术进一步发展而出现的新型网络，非常适合于各种局域网的互连。局域网通过城域网互连有多种方案，考虑到运行效率和复杂性，并结合实际需求，本文采用透明桥接技术实现了ＩＥＥＥ８０２．３局域网通过ＩＥＥＥ８０２．６（ＤＱＤＢ）城域网的高速互连。文中着重讨论了桥接器的硬件构成、桥接算法、软件结构及其程序实现。 With the further development of computer networks, communication, and technology of computer science, a new kind of network, the metropolitan area network (MAN) has emerged. The MAN is quite suited for interconnecting various kinds of local area networks (LANs). There are many methods to interconnect LANs through a MAN. This paper implements the interconnecting of IEEE802.3 LANs through a DQDB MAN using transparent bridges,in regarding the running efficiency, the complexity, and the practice requirement. The hardware architecture and the arithmetic of bridging are discussed in detail.
