摘 要: 本文从消费文化的角度,试图在经验层面和精神层面上,对《夜色温柔》中的主人公迪克走向沉沦的现代悲剧进行解读,并试图说明在一个克制变为欲望、勤俭变为享乐的消费社会里,主人公想通过虚幻而刺激的消费快感来建构身份和实现梦想,其结果必然遭到消费社会的控制和鄙弃。因此,迪克的命运是消费文化导演的现代悲剧。 The protagonist Dick in F. S. Fitzgerald's Tender is the Night ends in tragedy of decadence in a world of consumption where human virtue of self-restraint gives place to desire and the practice of thrift gives place to hedonic practice. Dick's construction of identity and his dream realization through his consuming practice that brings him illusional and exciting sensual delight must result in the control and discard of the consuming society. Dick's tragedy is a one in consumptive culture.
