摘　　要： 本文首先简介新版《第二语言习得:概论》的主要内容,然后在与前两版对比的基础上,从两个方面对之进行评介。在内容方面,该书呈现二语习得(SLA)研究领域的最新成果。这些成果体现在影响二语习得的相关学科研究、普遍语法理论(UG)、二语音位学研究、中介语研究、二语习得与外语教学等方面。在研究视角上,该书呈现的二语习得理论突破语言学的束缚,把语用问题摆到重要的位置,强调二语学习的动态过程。此外,全书内容编排注重理论与实践的结合,大量实证语料和思考题可为读者提供一个良好的科研平台。 This paper firstly presents the main content of the book Second Language Acquisition ： An Introductory Course （3 rd edition ）, and then, based on a contrast between the new edition （2008） and the first two editions （1994 and 2001 respectively）, gives a brief review of the newly published book. In light of content, the book has introduced the latest developments in SLA research, which are made in the areas such as related disciplines to SLA, UG theory, second language phonology, interlanguage research, SLA and foreign language teaching. Another feature of the new edition can be found in the perspective of research The SLA theories presented in the book have broken through the limit of linguistics, taken pragmatics into consideration, and emphasized the dynamic process of second language acquisition. What＇s more, the layout of the whole book offers a link between theory and practice. The data and questions for discussion provided at the end of each chapter could serve as a valuable research platform for the readers.
