摘　　要： 彭树智先生借鉴自然科学家的说法将"科学鉴赏力"概念引入史学领域,并具体阐述了"科学鉴赏力"在确定研究方向和研究课题方面的重要意义。本文以《东方民族主义思潮》一书为例来分析彭先生的治学方法,认为他凭借"科学鉴赏力"确定了东方民族主义这一具有开拓价值的研究课题,而求实精神则促使该课题形成一系列扎实有据的学术新见解,两者的结合推动着该课题进入了思路开阔、立意高远的研究境界。 Peng Shuzhi is a famous historian of Asian and African studies in China.His research me-thods are embodied in his book Thought of the Oriental Nationalism,in which he lays emphasis on two approaches:scientific taste and matter-of-fact attitude.The former helps him choose the Oriental Nationalism as his research subject,and the latter helps him make some well-founded new findings.The combination of the two approaches drives the research into a new level of broadening our minds and showing great foresight.
