摘 要: The paper conducts a comprehensive research on an ancient character ’gui’ (龟) and reveals its morphological changes through history. The author points out that the character ’min’ (黾) in Chu bamboo slips actually represents ’gui’ (龟) and a new interpretation of some characters related to ’gui’ (龟) and ■,which is composed partially of ’gui’,is also proposed in the paper.
