摘 要: OLAP系统运行的基础是多维数据模型。以快速、准确、灵活地构建多维数据模型为目的,提出了一种基于关系数据库和XML的OLAP建模方案。该建模方案将OLAP的建模任务分为两个阶段:存储层建模和应用层建模。在存储层,使用关系数据库,按照"星型图"方法建立具备多维特性的关系数据模型;在应用层,设计XML Schema,描述多维数据立方体及物理映射。运用建模方案,可以有效提高OLAP多维数据建模的效率和效果。 The operational basis of OLAP is the multi-dimensional data model. The rapidness, accuracy and flexibility in creating a multi-dimensional model have therefore become the research hotspot. This article proposes a Relational Database &XML based OLAP modeling scheme. The modeling scheme considers the modeling task as two phases., repository modeling and application modeling. The repository modeling implements relational database and "star graph" methodology to build a multi- dimensionally featured data model. The application modeling utilizes XML schema to define the multi-dimensional Cube. It is believed the proposed modeling schema is capable of improving the effect and efficiency of OLAP modeling.
