Shakespeare' s sonnets arouse everlasting controversy and various interpretations concerning their implied meaning since their naissance. The sonnets actually reflect the inner clash between the flesh and soul of the poet, in other words, the coexistence between moral affection and vulgar fleshliness, which in turn nourish the strong contrast between the two parts. The paper reveals the implication of Shakespeare' s sonnets and probes into the demarcation between flesh and soul through analyzing the opposition.
