摘　　要： 语法翻译法是外语教学中最古老、影响最深远、大量使用而且相当成功的一种外语教学方法。提高英语教学质量,应根据学生的实际情况,选择适当的教学方法。在众多的外语教学法中,语法翻译法以自身的特点和优势,应用于高职高专英语教学有其合理性和必要性。 In foreign language teaching, the grammar-translation method is the oldest, the most influential and far-reaching, very often used and quite successful teaching method. To improve the quality of English teaching, appropriate methods should be chosen according to the actual situation of the students. Among the many foreign language teaching methods, the grammar-translation method, with its characteristics and advantages, has its own rationality and necessity when applied to higher vocational college English teaching.
