摘　　要： 翻译批评赏析有助于提高翻译的实践水平,完善译学的理论建构。一切翻译工作均离不开对意义的探究。本文以Geofrey N.Leech划分的三类话语意义,即概念意义、联想意义、主位意义作为译文评析的参数,对比研究《艰难的国运与雄健的国民》两个译文,剖析两个译文如何实现各种层次上意义的语际转换,以尝试进行意义关照下的翻译批评赏析。 Translation criticism is conducive to the improvement of translation practice and the construction of translation studies.Since at the core of translation lies meaning,this paper present a comparative study and critique of the two English versions of 'National Crisis vs.Heroic Nation' by drawing upon Leech’s classification of meaning types,namely,conceptual meaning associative meaning and thematic meaning.In exploring the representation of meaning at different levels in the two translated texts,the paper is also intended to serve as an attempt along the path of conducting translation criticism within a theoretical framework.
