摘　　要： 当代语言生活的巨变,语言多样性危机与语言资源的保护与利用,民众语言需求的多元化,由语言引起的新问题的不断出现,国家语言政策的调整,都表明开展国家语言普查工作显得必要而迫切。国家语言普查是国情调查的组成部分。应尽快建立科学的国家语言普查体系,包括:明确国家语言普查的任务与目标,建立高效的语言普查工作机制,组建和培训高素质的语言普查队伍,制订数据采集和处理的相关规范和技术标准,建立普查过程监督与后期评估系统。 It is necessary and urgent to launch a national language census （NLC） at present due to the dramatic change of language use in contemporary life, the language diversity crisis and the protection and application of language resources, the pluralism of people＇s needs for language, the constant occurrences of new language-related problems and the adjustment of national language policy. NLC is an important constituent of national situation survey. It is urgent for us to set up a scientific NLS system, which incorporates the following tasks： the clarification of NLC＇s tasks and objectives, the establishment of effective NLC mechanism, the selection and training of NLC professionals, the formulation of norms and technical standards for data collection and processing, and the building of an NLC supervision and assessment system.
