苯乙烯-丙烯酸酯共聚物改性碳酸钙的制备及在造纸中的应用
Modification of Calcium Carbonate with Cationic Styrene/Acrylic Ester Copolymer and Its Application in Paper Making

摘  要: 采用自制的苯乙烯-丙烯酸酯对轻质碳酸钙(PCC)表面改性,以包埋率大小确定改性最佳反应条件,并对加填改性PCC的手抄片进行扫描电子显微镜(SEM)观察及性能检测。结果表明,在70℃、pH值9、PCC与苯乙烯-丙烯酸酯质量比为75∶1的最佳反应条件下,包埋率达到最大,接近99%。通过SEM可以观察到改性PCC在纸张中分布均匀、不易絮聚。纸张性能测定表明,与未改性PCC相比,添加30%改性PCC纸张的PPF(Paper Perfect Formation)值较低,C6范围后纸张PPF值降低明显。z向抗张强度、撕裂指数、耐破指数和抗张指数分别提高10.1%、22.4%、44.3%和26.9%。 Precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) was modified by self-made styrene/acrylic ester copolymer and optimized modified conditions were defined by embedded ratio. The SEM (scanning electron microscope) images of the paper were observed and paper properties were tested. The result indicated that the maximum embedded ratio is 99% under the optimized modified conditions, which are as follows: temperature 70℃, pH 9, the mass proportion of PCC and styrene/acrylic ester copolymer 75∶1. The uniform distribution and less flocculation of modified PCC in the paper are proved by observing of by SEM. Comparing with unmodified PCC, the PPF (Paper Perfect Formation) value of the paper is lower, after the range of C6 PPF value decreased obviously; internal bond strength, burst index, tear index and tensile index of the paper increases 10.1%, 22.4%, 44.3% and 26.9% respectively when 30% filler of modified PCC is applied.
