摘　　要： 法国存在主义作家贝克特的剧作《等待戈多》,是一幕表现20世纪现代人精神困境的荒诞剧,是一幕人类等待与幻灭的悲剧,是西方现代荒原上再次上演的西绪福斯神话;贝克特善于从哲学或终极关怀的层面来思考人类的存在问题,置身于异化世界的爱斯特拉冈和弗拉季米尔,是踟蹰徘徊在两难生存境遇中苦苦寻求救赎希望的现代人的缩影,他们在充满悖谬的希望与失望之间永无休止的等待,实质上是人类的本质和荒谬性存在状态的寓言式表征。 Wait for Godot, written by French existentialistwriter Samuel Beckett, is an absurd theatreto expressing for the spirit predicament of modern people of the 20thcentury, is a tragedy about waiting and disillusion of the mankind, is the Sisyphus＇myth staging onthe western modern wasteland once again;Beckett has begood at consideringthe mankind＇s existence problem from the philosophy or the ultimate concerning, Estragonand Vladimir who placeing themselves in the alienation world are the miniatureof modem people who goingback and forth survival predicamentandlookingfor thehope of being redeemed, they timeless waiting betweenthe hope and the disappointment, is the mankind＇s essence and the token of the type of parable absurd existence substantially.
