摘　　要： 古代的传记,如果从创作者的角度说,可以分为他传和自传两种。他传是为别人写传,而自传则是自叙自己的生平事迹和性情爱好的一种文体。综合考察唐代自传,则发现其体现出如下几种特质:儒道互补的文化观照,虚实相生的叙述方式,真情告白的抒情艺术。 According to the writer＇s point of view, the ancient biography can be two kinds： others＇ biography and autobiography. The others＇ biography is writing about the other people＇s life. While autobiography is a style that the writer writes about his own life, temperament and hobbies. Inspecting comprehensively the biography of Tang Dynasty, there appears some characteristics as below： the cultural phenomenon of both Taoism and Confucianism existing to complement each other, the narrative pattern of both reality and void, the expressive art of disclosing the real emotion.
