摘 要: 隐喻是以一种事物去理解和体验另一事物的强大的认知工具,也是语言的本质,并普遍存在于语言现象中。基于隐喻与语言的密切关系,隐喻研究对英语教学,特别是英语阅读教学有极大的实际意义。阅读教学的难点,在于如何超越语言因素的表层,引导学生理解语言信息所传达的深层涵义。培养学生的隐喻意识,有助于提高学生阅读的深度和语言领悟能力,对促进阅读效果有积极作用。 As a powerful cognitive device by which one other one, metaphor is the very essence of and prevalent in understands and experiences an event through the languages. In light of the significant relations between metaphor and language, metaphor study is viewed as an important section delivering practical implication to English teaching, especially English reading teaching, of which the difficulty lies in how to guide students to explore the connotations embedded in the language. Thus cultivating students' metaphor awareness helps promote their reading depth and linguistic capability, as well as reading effects.
