摘　　要： "双关语"作为一种有效的语言修辞手段,具有简洁、含蓄、情趣、意境的功能。众多学者对此已经开展了广泛的研究,但是对于电影中"双关语"的研究还薄弱。鉴于此,笔者对英语电影片名中"双关语"这一特殊语言现象进行探讨,分析了电影片名中"双关语"的辨认途径和理解过程,以期抛砖引玉,为该领域的"双关语"的探索提供有益的启示。 Punning, as an effective rhetorical vehicle, is famous for its concision, connotation, spice and artistic conception. Many researches on punning have been done so far, but the research on the punning in films is far from satisfying. The present paper explores some primary modes of punning in film tides and the interpretation of these puns in the context of films, with particular stress put on the formal and cognitive perspectives.
