摘　　要： 本文分析了以《尤利西斯》为代表的乔伊斯小说中的东方想象与身份建构,即布卢姆的犹太边缘身份和对东方文化的奇异丰富的想象、同情与渴慕,体现的是现代"尤利西斯"布鲁姆独特的英雄主义品质,也表达了作者力图超越欧洲中心主义、种族偏见的和平主义与世界主义思想。通过对乔伊斯文本中有关东方"他者"的想象及象征涵义的阐释,我们可以更深入地把握主人公的精神维度及价值取向,洞察乔伊斯文本的丰富性与复杂性,这也为我们反思东方想象和自我身份提供了一面"他者"之镜。 The paper analyses the imagination of the East and identity construction in James Joyce's Ulysses and his other novels.Bloom's Jewish identity and his imagination of Middle East and Far East suggest the unique heroism of this modern Ulysses and Joyce's efforts to go beyond Euro-centrism.Meanwhile,Joyce's cultural values also provide a mirror of the other for us to reexamine our own identity construction.
