摘　　要： 汉语是一种动词优势语言,汉语长句中往往包含多个动词,英译时对这些动词的处理得当与否,将直接影响译文质量与译文读者的理解。本文从汉语动词的重要性展开论述,提出了汉语长句英译中动词的综合处理策略,对使用这一策略的原因进行了分析,并通过典型实例探讨了如何在翻译实践中灵活运用这一策略以提高译文质量。 Chinese is a language with verbal prominence. There are more than one verbs in a long Chinese sentence. The proper transformation of these verbs will attribute to the quality of the version and help the readers to comprehend the version. Starting with the importance of Chinese verbs, the present essay puts forward the synthetic method of translating Chinese verbs in long Chinese sentences into English, analyzing the reasons why the method is adopted and presenting the method with typical examples and concise explanations.
