摘　　要： 该文以系统功能语言学家对语篇体裁的研究理论为框架,对外贸英语还盘函进行了体裁分析,具体对还盘函的语境配置及语类结构潜势进行了探讨,以期对中国的专门用途英语教学,特别是外贸英语函电写作教学,有一定的启示与帮助,使学习外贸英语函电写作的学生及初涉进出口业务的商务人士更有效地阅读及拟写英语还盘函。 The paper probes into the contextual configuration and generic structural potential of the counter-offer letters in business contacts within the theoretical framework of systemic- functional linguists. The purpose of this study is to contribute to the interpretation and production of counter-offer letters in professional business settings and to shed more lights on China＇s ESP teaching, particularly on the teaching of business correspondence writing.
