While the current international financial crisis was triggered by American subprime lending crisis in the context of neo-liberalism policy and the international currency system dominated by the US dollar, the underlying reason is the surplus of fictitious capital commodities resulting from the combination of excessive gambling with the inflating credit system. The crisis, which initially mani- fested itself in the form of the crisis of the financial market, may escalate into an all-around crisis of overproduction with the increasing damage done to the social consuming and payment capacity. The current financial crisis, deeply rooted in the fundamental economic system of capitalism, is a manifestation of the irremediable inherent defects of the capitalist system. The current crisis is liable to escalate into a more serious one characterized by production stagnation and US dollar crisis, which in turn may result in the transformation of the capitalist economic system from the neo-liberalism pattern to the stakeholders pattern.
