摘　　要： 委婉语的解读过程涉及源域与目标域之间概念特征的迁移,也可能涉及抽象的空位概念特征的迁移,空位概念特征潜在的终端值都是迁移过程中潜在的竞争者。概念特征(或空位概念特征)迁移能否发生,取决于语言形式字面意义与委婉意义的可及性对比。委婉意义的可及性越强,该语言形式越有可能被理解为委婉语。在具体的语用过程中,说话人可以根据语用意图增强委婉意义的可及性,引导听话人把该语言形式理解为委婉语。 Interpretation of euphemism involves transfer of conceptual features or schematic conceptual feature slots from source to target. Potential terminal fillers of a conceptual feature slot are competitors in the process of transfer. Whether or not the transfer occurs depends on the contrast of accessibility between literal interpretation and euphemistic interpretation. The stron- ger the accessibility of euphemistic interpretation is, the more liable that listeners will understand a particular expression as eu- phemism. In actual conversations, speakers may strengthen accessibility of euphemistic interpretation in accordance with her conversational intention to direct listeners＇ understanding.
