摘 要: 本文结合Hubbard提出并完善的软件评估标准与Plass提出的界面设计标准,提出了语言教学软件终结性评估的七大基本原则和具体评估标准,涵盖语言指导、内容设计和界面设计三个方面。在此基础上,本文对上海外语教育出版社出版的《新理念大学英语网络教学系统》进行了终结性评估,验证了该系统能够较好地支持英语教学,促进学生基于网络的自主学习。本文是利用国际评估标准评估中国语言教学软件的一次有益尝试,目的在于以《新理念大学英语网络教学系统》为例更好地了解学习者、教师和语言教学软件三者之间的互动,阐释如何充分利用软件资源促进教学以及如何进一步改进和完善软件功能。 This paper carries out a summative evaluation of New Perspective English Learning System (NPELS). The evaluation principles and methods employed herein are on the basis of the evaluation criteria proposed and perfected by Hubbard, and draw upon the latest interface design criteria proposed by P/ass. The evaluation of NPELS considers the criteria in three fields: language instruction, content design and interface design. The evaluation turns out to be a rewarding attempt of using international criteria to evaluate CALL software developed in China. The purpose of evaluating NPELS is to gain an insight into the interaction among learners, teachers and CALL software, the full exploitation of CALL software resources for English learning and teaching, and the improvement and perfection of the functions of CALL software.
